Flipup headlight problems

Everyone always complains about the headlights on their saturn/camaro/firebird etc, but has anyone had a problem similiar to this:

Mine started getting stuck up and down, and for some reason would drain my battery. When I disconnected the plugs to the motors, my battery problems were solved. That leads me to believe that there is a short inside of the motor. And that its not a short with the wires or a bad motor/fuse(because occasionally they will flip up and down)

I had a radio/clock/interior light problem, and read that article and it actually solved the problem. Just wondering if there is a similar fault. And if it is my headlight motor, can they be rebuilt or do I have to buy a new one?

i'm not familiar with any problems with the flip-up lights. perhaps try searching the general 240/silvia sub-forums.

if you need new headlights, i've got a pair that i'll sell you for really cheap. motors are just fine.

I see that they are white. How is the paint on them? And your selling them complete with the bulbs and all, correct? How much?

The color of the paint makes no difference...you can just change your lid covers. Put the ones that are on your headlights now on the new ones.

yeah, they're not white. they're the weird gold/champagne. but yeah, just switch your covers out.

i'm asking $30 for the pair + shipping. i can charge you $50 straight up and then just send you a refund for the difference (if any) in actual shipping price.

There's a junkyard 20 minutes from me that has 2 verts. They said I could have the headlights for 10 bucks if I pull them. And one of the verts is white, so I can be a bum and not change out the lids :-)
