how much would you pay for projectors like the ones from clear corners.

i'm in the middle of making a set for my car...so far so good...the low beam is going to be a projector and the high beam is goin to match but won't be a projector. these will be adjustable and the headlight assembly won't sit as high as the ones from clear corners(a little over an inch lower to make them look sleek). Light fixture will still go up and down. like regular lights they will be in a black fixture with a plastic clear lens to protect them. the clear lens will be like the plastic that comes on stock cars not plexy glass. i'll try to make the bolt on but if i can't i'll do the deal where you send me yours and i'll finish them the next day and send them right back. it'll be cheaper for you

i'll post pictures once i'm done. i won't make them for dirt cheap beacause materials alone are over a couple hundres as of now. clear corners want 1785/kit and you have to take you car to the shop and leave your car there a couple of days. I don't expect that much. these lights will have regualar lighting like BMW's and such. might be alittle dimmer because i won't be using HID's as of yet. i'll see if i can use a 5 or 10 watts more

I don't know how much I'd pay. I'd have to see the finished product first. Sounds like a fun project and I can't wait for the pictures. Don't forget to include the night time shots, beam pattern, and cutoff. A lot of people leave that part out of their headlight conversion pics.

i'm interested, too, and i'll give you a pat on the back if you do it up well. hopefully you're not using fog lights or driving lights from autozone/ebay/jcwhitney/etc. those are not bright enough for safety.

when i do upgrade my headlights i will want hella power and visibility, and right now the only good option is Sylvania Silverstars. people that try to retrofit HID's into pop-ups will have a hard time b/c it's next to impossible to fit the entire HID projector and capsule into the pop-up. i may try this at some point though . . .

right now the lights will not be H.I.D's because that would add another 400 dollars to the price. i've been driving with the lights so far and light out put is pretty good, but to better the light i'm going to put a 65 watt bulb in there instead. there is a solid cut off when your facing a wall.

so far i just finish with the low beams, next i have to put the high beams and the finish molding with the clear lens covering both of the lights for protection. i'm into functionality more than looks as well so i'm going to make these as good as stock or better. i work at night and i drive out to the country at night so i need a good set of lights.

once i finish my set i'm going to go back and make them easier to use and make try to make them bolt up to cut back on prices

I've researche dthis project as well, and the best light I could find for the application is the Hella 90mm projector

They come in low and high-beam, and are about $60 each.

well, and try to get the whole S2k housing as well so you can use the whole HID lens and bracket that holds the lens and bulb and all. this will net you a clean, clear, and bright HID setup that doesn't have the problems people have when they just slap an HID bulb setup into a housing not designed properly for the bulb. there looks to be *just* enough room in the 240 headlight for this. might take being creative and also finding the right HID setup to fit in there.

yes, they are fully adjustable... can go back to stock height at anytime and no bouncing issue. i can lower it some more but then my output for foreground is greatly reduced. right now the height is about ~110mm from top(lid) to bottom(bumper)

I've also done it too. But the height on mine is what it is. I made it so they would only come up this high.
