Flickering reverse lights???

It was told told to me by another s-13 driver I happen to run into this morning that my reverse lights were flickering on and of randomly. I knew they weren't working, but didn't know about the flicker issue. Can anyone give me an idea of where to start on this? I know obviously, that it's a wiring issue and may be a pain in the butt to fix and/or explain.

could be that the sensor on the transmission that tells the lights its in reverse, talk to "ForsakenTH" he just had his replaced cause his reverse lights were acting up.
