Was just curious if anyone has done a Flex Fuel conversion or know what has to be done to convert the vehicle to flex fuel. Anything special to look for? With Gas price skyrocketing with no end in sight I'm thinking of looking into a better fuel alternative. Shoot for the prices at the pump might as well just use straight up alcohol lol. Only thing required on the ECU side is the GM or FORD Flex Fuel sensor and my Standalone will instantly change to accomodate the different fuel.

What aspect of the fuel does the sensor measure? What kind of voltage output does it give? I'm just intrested.

I've looked into ethanol, but the price skyrocketed locally and now is more expensive than premium. If I had a garage and a good supply of corn, I'd make my own, but I don't have either.

Where do you plan on getting E85 in Florida? There is only one gas station that I know of and its on a military base by Kennedy Space Center.

Well its something to look into because the Flex Fuel sensor will sense different fuels not just E85. I'm not sure how the sensor works exactly. This is Megasquirts page on Flex Fuel since thats the system we're using. After reading that page it seems the sensor works off a frequency as well as using a Oxygen sensor for feedback since alcohol has a different Stoich than regular gas.
