Flex fan

So, last week, my water pump sheared off and shot my fan into my radiator, completely trashing the three parts. I have the water pump, and radiator in, but after waiting a week on the flex fan and spacer to get here, it doesn't fit. The hole in the middle of the spacer is too small as well as the spacer itself, not to mention the bolts are too big for the water pump. I've searched multiple search engines, Infiniti forums and talked to many mechanics, and no one seems to know if they make a spacer for the j30...and I can't be the only j30 owner interested in the "flex fans". I was really hoping someone would have an idea or an answer, because I'd hate to have to just return it and wait another week until I can afford a replacement fan.

I replaced my old fan with a $20 set of electric fans from a 1993-1997 Altima and with very minor modifications, it works like a champ and is rarely ever on. Probably one of my favorite things I have ever done. Just a thought

that's a cheap alternative. it's something i'm gonna think about now.....

I'm guessing the water pump was non OEM ??
They seem to be the ones that come apart like that.
Happened a few times before to peeps here.

As a full time auto tech and guy that races a J30 I can not see any benefit to a flex fan, only tons of negatives, we have 10,000 full on race miles on the stock 100,000 mile used fan coupled to a water pump bought @ the dealer, if things were to change it would be to increase horsepower by using electric.
