Flaw/Glitch with Forza 3, boy I'm pissed.

So I'm like 4 achievements away from from actually completing 100% Forza 3, all I have left are Drift Lap, Complete Year 6 (3/4 way done), Get gold in every race in every event (which I'm working on), and the Conesuer Achievement where you have to buy 1 car from every manufacturer. So I only recently bought up all the DLC from the last 6 months like 2 weeks ago and was excited to get my gifts. I needed only 6 more cars to get the achievement and so I went on a buying spree and only needed to get the Land Rover. Well I get the money for the Land Rover after doing a couple of event races and I'm all excited to get the achievement since it's worth like 50 points or something like that. I go into buy cars, and buy the Land Rover and .... WTF I didn't get the achievement, so I go through and check, check, recheck, and recheck again and yes I have at least one car from every manufacturer and still no achievement. So I go onto the official Turn 10 Forza forums and this seems to be a common problem that i didn't know about, it seems that with a couple of the DLC because they open up new manufacturers' (Noble, Mosler, Gumpert etc...) that you now have to purchase those cars as well to get the achievement.

Moral of the story, get the achievement before you either A) get the DLC's, or B)don't collect your gifts (if you're a VIP) because if you don't get the achievement before you do either of those you lose the gifts and you can't regift or auction a gift because it's locked.

So now I have to lose my gifted Lotus Evora T124, Spyker whateverthehellitis, and god only knows what else. I'm so pissed, and the sucky thing is is that even though it's broadcast all over the Turn10 boards, they won't make a patch to fix the problem because they deny that that is what is causing this glitch and they have moved on to Forza 4.

Too bad your an achievement whore. This wouldn't bother 90% of people...
Gift it to some one that will gift it back once you get the achievement? Would that work?

I'm not an achievement whore, otherwise my gamerscore would be much higher and I'd have more games at 100%. As far as gifting is concerned you can gift any cars that have a locked tune, vinyl or upgrade, and all of Turn 10's gift car to the VIP people are locked.

I'm just saying. I don't consider myself a achievement whore but I did try to get 100% in Forza 2 and even then I have less than 3,000 points.

I also don't limit myself to 1 game. if you compare games I have a ton more games on my list than you do. Just saying, and for the record I don't rent games or trade games in. I'm not a achievement whore, I just play a ton of games.

Sorry to hear that , its not as bad as you losing all your cars i lost everything . i had some nasty cars , so now all i have is dift cars. i only need 3 achievements to finish the game but no thats not going to happen

If you think dynamic weather, more tracks, day/night transition, attention to detail in cars/tracks, A-Spec, B-Spec, completely revamped online mode, etc is crap, then idk what to say.

Also, PD has no plans for DLC. Work on GT6 has already started.

Forza 5 will be out before GT5 is released. Then again maybe Prologue was the real GT5 and what you guys keep seeing are screens for GT6. Oh and judging by the tech demo for Forza 4 we'll probably have all the same crap as you guys plus some. Just saying...
