Anyone on this forum have access to the above?

I would like to know the hours to R & R the sunload sensor on a ''96 Q''

Would also appreciate hearing from anyone who has done this.

Can't imagine much variance from year to year but I do not know that.

Thanks in advance.

Just to reiterate what it states above - the replacement will take [0.3] hours or 18 minutes. There was an adjoining diagram attached to the flat rate information which might help you, here's a copy of it:

And welcome to NICO! :wavey:

Are you 100% sure the sensor is the problem? I have never heard of one being replaced,as it is just a photocell with no moving parts- if testing it with a multimeter, be sure to have sensor in direct strong sunlight before condemning it.

Why the double post?

The dashboard does not need to be removed, just pull up GENTLY on the windshield defroster grill.

Thanks to all. That should be a great help. I would hate to remove the dash.

I determined it faulty through the 5 step H/A self diagnostics per FSM.

Bright Fl. sun & 3 times repeated results of 25 = Faulty sunload sensor.

Already ordered from Ted.

Thanks again and thanks for the welcome.

UPDATE.................

Easy R & R. Just as described. Venerable taped butter knives, perfect tool for this job.

Thanks again.
