FO has sold a couple of things here.Customers either love them or hate them so far.In all fairness, they seem to try to make things up to PPL when they screw up.

Whenever Alex gets his S14 clip from them you can always check it out since he is in Kirkland, right across the lake. At the moment he has an S13 blacktop sitting in his garage from FO but I dont think you want to see that.

The clip should come stock. It will have a stock downpipe that will bolt right onto your stock exhaust. It will come with the stock clutch at least (maybe an upgraded, though thrashed, clutch) There may be a BOV, but dont bet on it. You will at least get the stock recirculation valve.

At the moment im not sure FO is selling engines to customers, they might only do wholesale engines to online companies starting real soon. Until they open the Georgia shop in about a month.

that would be sweet, to check out other ppls cars and to maybe get some help from ppl in my area that have done this already. I have never done anything like this before, so a bunch of us are gonna do it, and build it to a daily driven car. I think imma go with an engine from afterdarktuning, been talkin to the guy a lil, and i hear good things.

I personally wouldn't buy a motor that I can't inspect before hand.

Holi,

I understand your perspective.I have made marginal experiences myself. But, the only way to get these engines is non local.Very few towns will have a selection of engines to inspect.

Therefore we gotto order them from vendors, many of which are very good.

Luckily Seattle has a source so rxecret7 can check them out at least. I thought HT was in mass and NY? did they leave mass?

I highly recommend Daunttless at Afterdark, he is a really great guy and things are finally coming together for him. However, due to extenuating circumstances I had to back out of the deal with him. However I am still getting quite a few things from him and will definitely be giving him business in the future.

Yeah, I'm in the market for SR red top too. I will probably go with HT or AfterDark. HT said the waiting time is around 3-4 weeks after payment. I don't know when AfterDark will get their engines. However, I would rather stay away from FO though.

yeah its a shame the FO guy is already messing up his rep even before he gets his shop set up here.

not yet, there are other people who have motor's allready (heavythrottle, enjuku, Unstable....)

Plus I know a few guys who don't own shops but do it 'on the side' who could also help you out with a motor.

Whatever you do just make sure you buy somthing in the country, otherwise you will get burnt more than likely.

He has never said exactly when it will arrive and of course that was part of the deal that we knew about when we ordered them.

My only problem is that my brother is getting married and my parents want to have the reception at their house. So of course my dad wants the car gone by then(May10). I don't live there or have another place to keep it really so it is getting to the point that I have to do something with the car.

Because they should be coming fairly shortly and I don't want to have to pay more for something as complete and of similar quality.

Nope, he still hasn't gotten his first shipment in yet, but it should be here pretty dang soon. Like I said, I had to back out due to extenuating circumstances. An opportunity came up that I could not pass up and I had to back out of the deal with Dauntt. However, as I also said in my original post up there, I am still getting a large amount of stuff from him and will be buying more things from him in the future. He is a really great guy and it isn't his fault that he doesn't have motors yet.

I was offered the chance to buy a blacktop front clip from another very reputable company for an excellent price since I had dealt with them extensively in the past and I could not pass up that deal. My clip will be here on Monday afternoon and I will post a lot of pics for you :)

That sucks that his shippment isn't here. I just had the transmission go out in my s14 and am looking for a s13 or s14 sr as soon as possible. I wanted to get one from daunt but i can't wait very much longer so what is the next best place? I know daunt syas his are under 30k and have everything to get them running and I would like a place that has a rep. like that. Any advice? Thanx

Daunttless just replied my inquiry on a sr and he told me they will be here in may. Hopefully it goes through for him cuz i would rather buy from him than anyone else. I think i will wait for his now since i got a piece of **** car to run while my 240 is getting painted and ready for the swap.
