Hello all, strange seat behavior here...A while back the memory for the driver's seat stopped working. (I thought my wife just overrode the settings, but turns out she never touched it) The disable button on the steering column is not engaged, but now the green led's from both #1 and #2 are flashing. Tried a couple different hold and push combinations, but that only made them change from alternating flashes to flashing simultaneously. I can't find this in the user manual. And now all the seat controls work except for the seat back going forward or back. I'm really puzzled on this. My thinking is that if it were a fuse, nothing would work. Why just the seat back switch not working, and why the flashing settings lights? Thanks TP

Can I just disconect the battery for a couple hours and "reboot" to the default settings?

Common cure for electrical gremlins, but I don't think there are any defualt seat (pre)settings.

One of the guys on the board said he has to do this fairly regularly to keep his seats working.

At least it only takes a couple of minutes of work, and doesn't cost anything. Clean your battery terminals while you're at it....

Removed the neg battery cable for an hour last night. Prior to doing so, the seat controls and memory stopped working, the radio presets starting acting funky, and the wife says the car drove "terrible". After reconnecting the cable, all the electronics seemed back to normal, and she told me today that it ran fantastic. I can understand a little bit of weirdness, maybe the seat controls, but what the heck causes so much degredation in the performance? I'm very puzzled. Relieved that it didn't cost the typical Infiniti $850 or so, but puzzled.... TP

Sounds like you were/are experiencing a bad ground problem.....by R&R'ing your negative batt cable (and cleaning?) you regrounded the electrical system. Was the neg cable loose? Corroded? I would check your batt cables real well....possibly you want to replace them.....I would also check all of the ground wires under the hood....look in your FSM for the locations.
