I recently put an aftermarket steering wheel without an airbag on my z and I was wondering if it was possible to get the airbag light to turn off, any help is appreciated.

I'm on my way out to dinner so, so I'll post what I can think right now and do a little research later...

A lot of aftermarket steering wheels come with a resistor you can plug into the ABS leads that go into the airbag. If you don't have/didn't get those you can buy them and connect them to the leads to trick the ABS computer that the steering wheel airbag is in place and working properly, you will 2 of them, 1 for each lead. I want to say that the resistors are 2 ohms, but I'm old and my memory isn't what it used to be. After connecting the resistors you should just be able to go through the airbag light reset procedure and be done with the light - at least as far as the steering wheel airbag is concerned.

Thanks a lot, I got the steering wheel used and it came with what I needed to put it on and thats it. I'm sure I'll be able to fix this in no time.
