I have had the flashing airbag light for about a year now. I have had luck in the past reseting it with the turn the key on then off thing. This time I have not been so lucky. I have tried every reset procedure that I have found and have only been able to change the rate of the flash. I have been able to get it to go off but then it comes back on a few minutes later.
I was not able to pick up any codes, all is well according to the OBD2 scan.
Im stumped at this point, is there any other way to reset the airbag system, can it be turned off similar to what the dealer would do if they need to work on the airbag system?
Could the new recall on the airbags have anything to do with it? Is there a way to tell by VIN # what 02 Pathfinders are in the recall
Thanks

The best way to find out if there is a recall that affects your vehicle is to call the dealership and ask. They'll ask for the VIN # and tell you what recalls apply and which ones have already been done to your vehicle, if any. Regardless, if your airbag is not functioning properly, that is a serious safety issue and needs to be dealt with ASAP.
