Well, almost.

"The 300C is more our thing. The Hemi engine transforms the performance; Chrysler claims that it sprints from 0 to 60 mph about 2.5 seconds faster than the V-6. We managed it in 6.1 seconds and saw a speed-limited 126 mph on a very deserted section of desert highway. "

So be fair, fellas, and stay in 3.

Nice find. The 300c looks kind of like a Rolls-Royce from the front.

"It never loses its composure, though, and actually rides decently considering it has eighteen-inch wheels and tires (albeit with relatively high sidewalls)"Is there something wrong with Tall-sidewalls? As long as they're stiff enough, there shouldn't be any problems, right? I like tires that have tall side-walls. IT gives your rims (and kidneys) extra protection. I don't understand the purpose of putting "Rubber bands" on your wheels. I think Chrysler made the right decision.

On the same not: What is the point of installing a nice "soft" suspension, and then putting really short side-wall tires on your rims? Those two things kind of offset each other a little.

120 is pretty easy to hit when passing three or four cars at once. That kind of speed has its momentary uses.

I think the one thing the new 300C has over the Q45 then and now is:

It can turn off 4 cyl at will : talk about improved gas MPG.

my old 93 base got 380-420mi's to the tank.

my current 94 Q45a only 270-315mi's to the tank

So are you saying that it only took Chrysler 14years to surpass the "1990" Q45???

That is so impressive....

Well I had the chance to drive in one and I must say I like the car. I do see how they got that big car feel though, just put shorter windows and more body panel and poof tall car. But it does ride nice and it has so many little features that I like to have.

1. Auto up AND down windows2. Mirrors that adjust when put in reverse.

You know the little odds and ends that are just cool. I would like to have that window thing installed on my 90 though.

As far as peformance I did got at it with one on the LIE. From a roll of 60 and pulled on him about 1 car. But when we started at it from like 40 he got me by 1.5 cars. But when we reached around 120 or so he let go, I guess that was the limiter. But on the way to 120 he didnt pull on me hard I was right there on his bumper. When I pulled up on his side he gave me his acknowledgement of the Q's power and kept it moving. I respect that 300 though

My 94 Q45a's mirrors move down low in reverse to see objects then raise back when I put it in drive.

You don't have them on your 90 Q pito?I thought my 93 had them.

Sorry dude that mirror thing was only on the 94+.

I like the feature though it is very minute. I really do like the auto UP AND DOWN feature on ALL windows. Very luxury.

Tall tires can be great. Michelin made the XWX in 205x70-15 specially for the Citroen SM. It was one of the first V rated tires, had VERY stiff sidewalls and rode almost like steel rims. Had AWSOME traction and handling, but 12K miles per set. Tire places had a real PITA changing them because they were so stiff and had so much steel in the bead.
