So we had some torrential downpours yesterday in atlanta and I unfortunately got stuck out in them. I was heading home and made numerous uturns to avoid deep puddles. I finally found a route that I thought would be okay but the water was apparently deep enough to really do some damage to my car and leaves were stuck in the bottom of my door.

Symptoms: The car will stall when started if I don't continually give it gas. As long as the car is above about about 600-800 rpms, it runs just fine. However, as soon as it drops down, the car will stall. That means that when driving it, I have to start it at every stop light and anytime I have to stop or slow down.

I had the engine codes read and it threw a few : P0135 Front 02 sensorP0325 Knock SensorP0443 Purge Control ValveP0446 Vent Control ValveP0505 IAC-AAC ValveP1105 MAP/BARO switch/solenoid valveP1400 EGR&canister control solenoid valveP1441 Vacuum cut valve / bypass valve

I know that these are all serious issues which means difficult to diagnose and expensive. Especially things that are hard to get to like the knock sensor.

My question is if anyone has any experience with these sensors and would know if water would really knock out all of these and if they most likely need to be replacedOR If it is more likely for there to be a problem with the harness or shorting occurring.

I figure if there is a sensor that really should not be damaged by water for whatever reason, then maybe these codes are being thrown because of a short or problem with the harness and not the sensor or valve itself being the problem. After all, there replacing all of those sensors and valves listed would probably cost nearly 1000 in parts alone.

I appreciate anybody's help.

First check for a blown fuse. both in the car and under the hood. If all good pull the ecm out and see if there is water in the main connector and possibly inside it. If you dont find moisture in the connector there is no need to open up the ECM.
