flapping noise when accelerating (w/ video)

it happens only while driving and I would say in speeds less than 60mph. when I am parked there isn't any such noise. I kind of reminds me the noise of the heatshield but I removed it (the exhaust one). It's more like there is something flapping due to wind. Engine still runs good and strong (<100k miles).

Any suggestions? I will take it to a mechanic soon for some other things and ask him to check whether anything is loose down there.

why dont you just jack it up and look yourself?

its not tough man. if you need jacking points just look at the FSM

werd, but unfortunately I don't have any tools. However I have some local friends that might be able to help. Just wondering about worst case scenarios.

I doubt its anything serious.. Unless you can feel it. Then you might wanna get it checked out.

probably your plastic fender liner that extends toward the front bumper came loose.

Or if you still have the oem black plastic skid plate/diversion panel it could be loose and flapping.

yeah, my fender liner/plastic panel under the front corner of the bumper came loose and sounded like I spun a bearing.

its more of that heat sheild. mine flapped jsut before the downpipe meets the cat, most annoying sound in the world

mine makes that noise too. real noticeable when im getting on the freeway and the noise bounces of the walls.

Are you sure it's not an exhaust leak? That's what mine sounded like when my AIV plug fell out.
