Flackie door locks on 97 Quest

We have a 1997 Nissan Quest XE. The door locks have a mind of their own.

When we use the remote, or drivers electric switch to lock all doors, all doors do not lock. Could be any door, we never know and must physically try all the doors to make sure they are locked.

Any tips on where I should be looking to solve the problem?? The vehicle is in good shape and has 100,000miles on it. The problem came with the vehicle when we bought it a couple months ago.

It could be a few things. I would check to make sure that the master switch on the drivers door is operation correctly and go from there.

Does the remote work through that door switch?

Is there a relay that supplies voltage to all the locks?
