and i know i told you it was SR powered, but i was wrong... its your favorite lil motor..

For three years I raced Austin Healey's, I know why your MG is Nissan powered, I spent more time working on the healy than racing it, the nissan has not failed once, even after two 1 1/2 hour enduro's.

oh god, that beauty is not mine, its just an MG i have tried pointing out to pete a number of times on the forums but he has failed to spot her...

yeh, but it makes a weird *** noise for the first 1.5mins of starting it.. no matter if its a warm start or not. im thinking about just swapping back to the SR alt since it wasnt the problem to start with.

im aorry to hear that bro...well i do know that a ka alternator doesnt run the smae amperage as a sr alt...might have been that?

240squared, welcome to NICO! We usually try to meet up on Thursday nights sometimes, either in Port Saint Lucie or Stuart. We're in the process of trying to setup a regular monthly "240SX ONLY" meet, but we haven't started it yet. Just recently we met up out of the blue at Lyngate Park on a Sunday because JR (JDogg95) got his car back.

Now that Jeff also has his car running again, JR's back, Pete's car is now painted, and we got a new member.... we should meet up in Port Saint Lucie this Thursday and ride down to Stuart all together in one huge caravan! You guys up for it?!

well, lets hope the fusible link gets here before then so pete can drive his car... im using his as a loaner, he understands deep down inside that when it comes to cars on the road, its more important to have s14's on the road over the outdated s13... right pete?

The weekly hangouts are on Thursday nights around 9:00 PM till ???.

I don't know who started these hangouts, and it's not car specific.

The one in Port Saint Lucie is on US1 & Jennings (Old Winn Dixie plaza) or sometimes it's across the street. I've gone here several times, and it's "alright". There's a variety of of imports & domestics.

The one in Stuart is on US1 & Kanner (Publix plaza). I've only been here once, and it was MOSTLY trucks. The few that were there were mostly domestics, and didn't stay long. Not sure if this is common.

I only go to these hangouts when other 240's are there. In the process I have made some good friends, shared useful information, and have had interesting conversations. It would be cool if we can establish an active 240 community in our area, and lately it seems like it's kinda getting there.

SFL240SX does this type of meet monthly, with over 30 240's showing up on average. I've been to one, and it was great. It's all the way in Miami though, so that's why I wish we could set something like that up here. I tried doing this in West Palm Beach, and about 16 240's showed up the first time, but only 4 showed up the 2nd time, lol.
