HEY GUYS.....I NEEED YOUR HEELP!!

I sorta blew my headgasket on a drive to vero yesterday. Driving down 95 i didnt pay attention to the temp gauge and that the engine was overheating. i could have sworn i had water in the tank but i guess the sun dried emptied it out faster then i can think of seeing it had a crack where water was able to escape...anyways my engine overheated and i blew the head gasket.

I am looking for someone who might have another ka24de lying around that is in working condition or if u guys know somewhere where i can get a good deal on one until i can fix my engine.

If u guys can help me I would owe u big time.

stupid mistakes can ruin a good engine LOL

I managed to find a head gasket set kit for 50 bucks now all i would need is to resurface the head cuz its all bent out of shape by now im sure. You guys know of a place that resourfaces heads for cheap?

and while i was on a search for a new engine i managed to find one guy who was selling a 97 ka24de with 107k miles on it for $300 in orlando area. I found his thread on floridadrift.com now he says that there is nothing wrong with it whatsoever and that he just took that engine out last week. what do u guys think?

take my chances with this guy for a ka with 107k miles on it for 300 or rework my 130,000 mile engine?

I checked there but one was already sold and the wasnt much of anything else...

i went all over lookin for them and buying one from Autozone or the other places will cost me between 2800 for rebuild one....i was like F@#$ that!

i wish you could have waited to not check the temp, my KA is fairly fresh, just needs a pilot bearing and itll be alright again...

hey phil i just took out my t28 and it looks fine, minus the oil seals and a tiny bit of shaft play. im looking right now at a gtrs right now so hopefully i can get my car back running by the end of the week.

unfortunately not much i can do now. I will also need to check the pressure on the radiator and get new thermostat and waterpump to be on the safe side.
