According to many SR builders (Including Mark, XAT etc.) porting and polishing is a waste of money.

BTW why did you do dual springs? You can hit 10,000 rpm with singles if you know which ones to buy.

just wondering who the others are?

you're right though. im gonna have my ports closed back up because more flow = less power.

I guess you changed your mind, you said Mark knew his sh1t. I guess he was wrong about this.........Others are Tim - highest hp SR in Tampa, Martin XAT's tuning god/motor builder, Matt V. creator of his own lash killer kit and knows alot more than we will ever know about SR's.

Not knocking your sh1t, I'm sure it will be fast. Just relaying what professional SR builders told me. "Port & polish = pooling of fuel" from Marks mouth.

I'm a professional SR builder and really all you need for a 10k rpm ready SR is some VTAK

dual springs... its pretty much like a dual loaf. spring inside a spring.

By the way JR, if thats what mark and all these other people say then you should let them say it and give your own opinions of what u yourself think. We all have our own knowledge and experience for cars and i honestly wouldnt mind if you gave your own opinion about. Im pretty sure the guy that built my head knows what hes doing. Ive learned alot from him and he does have a 1000 hp sr by the way.

oh yeah and im not calling u out at all so dont get all pissy or anything. i was just showing everyone what i got because i know they all wanted to see. i know i would. for now on i guess ill just stop posting pics of my gay build.

My car as you know put down 460hp easy with 264s etc. and I was looking to make my car more powerful so I asked around, had my mechanic take my car to the track to see what would yield more power in my car. Final out come was cams, solids, re-tune with those in. If your planning on trying to make 500+ hp its not very street-able (that's why I run low boost all day)and will kill your transmission (no.2 for my car). I wasn't trying to come off like an a$$ it just reads like it.

BTW the Wii rocks!

I'd imagine. I know somebody right now doing a 2.2 SR build with goals set right below 700whp, this is not going to be a strictly race car, it will be street driven, but I cant even imagine how hard it will be to put that power to the ground. Crazy
