ya you could say RAS are hit and miss, they may either do their job or not.. rocker arms themselfs are also hit or miss..they can either fly off or not..but its unlikely...with RAS i've heard a few horror stories of them not working..they still allow the rocker arm to fly off and not only let it fly off but break them in the mean time..im not saying they dont work..maybe sometimes they do their job..maybe in some cases they do hold the rocker pad down and not let it fly off..but ive had conversations with people who have had them and said they let the rocker arm fly off, break it and then you have to hunt the little pieces down in your head..so i wouldnt buy RAS because i dont want that happening, i dont want to take the chance..i'd rather just let the rocker arm fly off..hey george whats your timing? did you read it yet?

hey jorge i found some info you might want on that j30 diff you have.

J30 Diff

The Infinity J30 uses an ABS sensor that attaches to the input of the diff. If you have an ABS equipped 240, this will be the same sensor ring. This sensor ring requires that you have a drive shaft that is approximately .55" shorter than the non-ABS counterpart. If you do not have ABS, you will have two options. First, you can buy the ABS driveshaft. Second you can buy the non-abs diff input. Another important point to note, is that the J30's final drive ratio is taller than the 4.083 found in 240's and NA 300ZX's. The gear is approximately 3.9:1

didnt know if you knew this allready...

I was just happy. I fixed my EDFC. Mike @ XAT asked me what a wire was and I thought it was something else so I told him to leave it ungrounded but it was my ground wire for the EDFC. So I tightened up the suspension and had to lay some rubber down. I love low boost. Can you tell how many gears I went thru?

What kind of power do you think you're making on low boost? I'm worrying about traction issue's with my 350-380whp goal.

JR, I need to take you up on the offer one of these days! Haha, soon. This saturday im tearing apart my sr to mess with the timing stuff, it might take a while . Then another dyno tune before cams, hopefully 300whp. Then comes the standalone ems.

Cool man.I haven't decided if I am gonna go stand alone or keep my tuned ECU but have heard AEM's EMS is the best and cost the most. But I have friends in Tampa with the Power FC and they love it. But I dunno, like choosing a pizza. Keep us informed.

Im definatly going with Power FC. It's a little cheaper than AEM, still crazy tunable, and an easy tuner at that..even I know how to mess with the Power FC a little bit
