i want to fix up my car but i only have so much money, and i have all sorts of ideas going through my head, wondering what would you do in my situation?

some background info. my car is a 1995 240sx. It is the green/blue color.

exterior mods -The passenger side rear quarter panel got dented in during an "unintentional off road adventure" ;) . My suspension seemed to remain pretty much undamaged, just tweaked a little. The place i got the alignment at was able to get it well within spec with slight modification. The front of the car, on the driverside, has a black fender. The hood also has a bubble and the corners are folded down at the top where the hood bolts go. This is because i got screwed on ebay and the dude shipped his **** real sloppy, so the hood i ordered got dented up (it is the one thats on my car right now) and the fender was so screwed up i couldnt use it.

performance mods -tein HE, cusco rucas, tien tie rod/end package, exhaust, trunk battery, custom intake.

ok so here is my dilemma. I am selling my exhaust on ebay because it dosent really make sense on my car, i am going to try and get 5-600 for it (dp, cat pipe, greddy tr evo II 92mm catback) So i was going to try and get a different catback for around 300. So hopefully i will have 300 dollars to spend trying to fix my car. For christmas, i am getting a roll bar installed. To go along with this I ordered a 5 point sabelt harness. Also i bought an Arospeed bucket seat, and this came with universal sliders and a 4 point willans harness. The universal sliders do not work, and i am having a lot of trouble trying to rig up my stock sliders to work with this new seat. I am in the process of figuring out which sliders to get so that this seat will work, or maybe i will just sell the seat and get somthing else. Will soon be buying a steering wheel to get rid of the air bag, but only after i have the seat / harness / bar in.

So, I will hopefully have 300$ more than i thought to fix my car with and there is a lot of stuff that could use fixing on my car heh.

here are my ideas -

-spend around 400 on a CF hood; fix my busted hood.-spend around 150 on side skirts to cover up the busted quarter panel, try to get the skirts and fender matched for 200 ish. keep the busted hood for a while.-spend around 400 on an ebay body kit including sideskirts to fix the busted panel. leave the body kit in the garage for a while while i save up cash to paint it.-blow off making my car look nice and buy swaybars.

and about the seat --keep the seat, keep trying to rig it up to where it will work.-sell the seat and buy a corbeau with 240sx sliders that will deffinitley work

(ps does anyone know if bride/corbeau sliders will work with an arospeed seat? i can take measurments if anyone could check)

what do you guys think? what order would you do this stuff in? if i had a ton of cash what i would do is

oem cf hood270R kitblack paint job (including paint over the hood)sell the seat, buy a black corbeau forza with 240sx bracket.

but i cant afford all that stuff, what do you guys think?

Getting a racing harness without a roll cage doesnt make sense to me. Sell the seats and harnesses and get nitrous or somethin.

It was, but i just realized I didnt read your sig. Didnt know it was a track car. Are you wanting to change out seats b/c yours doesnt have enough support, or you really feel that you need a race harness, or just for looks?

It's really up to you. Personally I would make sure my hood wasn't screwed, as well as my fenders, and if you have the money left over I would do engine work. Think about it? Right now you say your performance mods consist of intake and exhaust. Do you honestly think you car will move fast enough to need a rollbar, a 5 point harness, and a racing bucket seat? It's just unnecessary. I'd get my car up to speed, before I made it look fast.

I just realized something. If its a track car, you should DEFINITLY invest some good money in brakes

If its a track car then I wouldn't bother with anything cosmetic right now. a cf hood would be nice but with that and the battery in the back you might start to understear a little. I secont the notion on the brakes. At least stainless lines and some good pads. Get a good and harness if your regulations call for it otherwise just the seat for now. A short throw shifter would be good too.

lol you guys misunderstand my sig. its a joke, like how people list all their different cars for different purposes? im poor and only have one car, was meaning to say that i use it for everything.

What is a bad thing about having a roll bar, seat, harness, aftermarket steering wheel in a daily driver? The roll bar protects from rollover so there is no saftey issue when using the harness. The seat facilitates the harness, and the steering wheel would remove the stupid air bag. about my power mods? what should my power mods have to to do with roll bar, etc? SAFTEY FIRST!!!:)

so you guys think i should just leave the busted body work? I personally am leaning towards buying an oem cf hood, since buying a wrong colored hood and having it paint matched would be basically the same price. or you think i should get the fender painted and try to fix the side dent?

air bags are dangerous. a proper saftey harness is much more effective than shooting a bag at your face. air bags are in cars because people are too lazy to put on a 5 point harness. ever wonder why NO car with any kind of race application has an air bag?
