Fixing smog problem

I'm wondering if I take the 240sx (KA24DE) to the shop and fix the smog problem, how much money I should spend the most? I mean what's the point if the fixing cost is so high that I could get another DE engine instead.

how much should you spend - thats upto you. it could get expensive, or iot could be something really simple. if it costs more than what you can get another de for then get the new de.
