Fixing maf screens

I was wondering if it is possible to fix the screens on a maf and if they are messed up if it will cause your car to run badly. Im referring to a z32 maf that i will be purchasing for my holset build and my rb20 maf has a messed up screen as well. Thanks

they're just screens to keep you from sucking in 2mm bees.. but you're ****ed if you suck in 1mm bees.
