Fixing dead lights on instrument panel

I have a 2010 Rogue and the right half of the instrument panel no longer illuminates (only the very left side still lights up). I was told that I'd have to replace the entire panel, which I find hard to believe. I would think I could just replace a bulb.

1. Does anyone have any information on replacing the bulbs? Is it possible or do I have to replace the entire panel?
2. If I were to replace with LEDs, which LEDS should I get and where do I find them?
3. I also need a guide on getting access to the rear of the panel.
