My car has been suffered from the rough idle at the stop light forever. This is the only thing that make me hate this car. I always thought it was the injector problem. I went through a couple of injector cleanings, but it never fix the rough idle problem. It turn out to be a stupid coilpack.

I know exactly which cylinder was the problem because I recently had a MIL misfire on cylinder 1. After the coilpack swapped out, the car is running very smooth and I can feel the power greatly improved. It feels great to have my V8 back. I have been driven only on 7 cylinders all these time.

If you want to try this, just buy one coilpack and start to swap out one by one. I brought 4 used coil pack from ebay. I only used one.

Great! You know there are a couple of threads in the Q45 Forum (though they should be here) under stumble and let's fix this?

Do include you car and location information in your profile as it helps members isolate issues pertinent to you.

VA90Q45dude,

Thanks for the post. I have a 99 also and while it currently runs like a sewing machine on meth, I know that won't last, so good input! I have already decided to go ahead and spring for a new coil just to have for diagnostic purposes, and I watch ebay for various other bits as well.

If you ever get down my way, stop in for an adult malt beverage, I am at the beach.
