For a while my passenger side power windows switch was not 100% working. It would work very seldomly. So today I decided to take it apart and look at it. I pushed the metal contacts on the switch while it was apart but plugged in and the windows went up and down. I then found the culprit, the plastic notches on the switch which pushed the metal contacts wore out. I fixed that with a couple dabs of a glue gun and now that works. While fixing it, the drivers side passenger window switch pooped out but the driver side window goes down and up so that switch works. Then it (passenger window switch on drivers side)worked again for a few mins and hasn't worked since. Does anyone know what the problem could be? I used a multimeter and the switch checked out fine for both the passenger and driver buttons on the driver side. The power window lock was never touched. I have an 89 hatchback.

For those of you who dont know, the drivers side has one harness which controls both the drivers side window and passenger side window buttons.
