For anybody who has had the stock rubber stopper harden and fall apart leaving their brake lights on constantly...you can purchase a new stopper for .70 cents at the link below to fix the problem. It looks like the included pic.

sky, for 70 cents, it's not like you're giving up a set of tyres or coilovers to fix brake lights. plus brake lights that are constantly on are just as bad as ones that don't work.i think the real question is, how the hell did you walk out of a dealership and only spend 70cents. thats unheard of!

I had the Rubber stop on the clutch pedal crack and fall out and I was just pushing the small switch in by hand for a while so I could start the car. I finnaly bought a 4 pack from Autozone for $1.20 to fix it, and threw the other 3 in the ash tray.

The next week I noticed that my brake lights wouldnt go out and I found another broken stop on the floor pan. Luckily I had the other 3 stops & I was able to fix it in the Sears parking lot. Seems you need to be part contortionist to get to the brake switch rubber stop

hehe you guys are great. i saved that site. but seriously i duct taped a quarter in place of the stoppers on the brake and clutch pedals and just adjusted the momentary buttons so the metal wouldn't beat them up.

Wow, and i thought I was the only one. For my brake switch fix, I used a lil rubber mount off the bottom of a kitchen aplliance and super glued it, lol, still holding till this day. I also had to press the clutch switch by hand for a while. But I used another rubber bump stop foundon the inside door of a toyota corolla, slightly bent the mount and it worked perfect.

I had the same problem, and i had to keep on disconnecting the negetive battery terminal every time i get in and out of my car. And as soon as I fixed the problem, my power steering went out a day later, I can't win.

That's what I was doing before I found out it was the rubber stopper. I did the battery cable thing for about 2 months. PITA it was and kinda embarrassing too!
