Fix for old dull looking clear film hood/bumper protector

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

HI guys! I made a discovery today. I have an 08 EX35 JOURNEY with a bumper/hood film protector installed by my dealership a week after I bought the car. It has been 5 years now and I gave up removing those ugly marks and stain on the film protector.

Never put alcohol on this film as it will leave a dull mark to the finish. I made a mistake doing this since I could not remove some road bugs that sticked to it... BTW, I also have a bug & tar remover , but it only cleans the dirt, and it was too late when I bought it since I already used an alcohol to clean it. (Hand alcohol sanitizer)

So this morning, I was checking out stuff at the local automotive store and I noticed this product made by Turtle Wax.

I did try it and the 5 year old film protector looks a lot better than before! The alcohol dull mark is gone! :dblthumb:
I then apply a Turtle Wax ICE car wax to protect it afterward.
