five speed swap question.

hey guys, just finished up my sr swap on my 90 hatch. engine runs fine but took it out for a spin last night, and ran into a few problems. I can do 70 in first gear (in the not cool way). also, i need to rev the thing to 4000rpm to even get out of first without stalling it. theres also some issues when i shift into fourth to cruise, and the rpms go higher like it would be if i was pounding on it.

I went to a local garage today, explained my problems..he brought up the point of the rear end:

Are the rear ends (in any way) different between the manual and the automatic 240sx's? I've never heard of anyone having this problem with an S13, but I just wanna cover all my basis before i get a new transmission (or take apart the present one to find out wtf is going on)

thats what i was thinkin. The transmission was super clean when i got it...im thinkin it was rebuilt..and he ****ed it up when he was putting it back together. awesome.
