Yeah the wheels are a bit plaid out, but I like how they look on my car, it was either these or MAE wheels. These are used, and I got them for 1900 shipped. Not a bad deal for wheels with no scratches or dings.Falkdesigns wrote:It's gonna be nice man, I wish you'd picked something a little more original than DH's though. It will still look super sharp, it's just been done so many times already. What did you pay for the wheels? New or used?
Well, the 245/30-22 are only a 92 load rating, (no listing for 235/35-22 on Falken website), a full 2 points under the OEM minimum load rating specification. Also, the ~27.7" diameter is significantly greater than OEM designed 26". Best not to talk about the increased unsprung mass and accelerated wear of suspension components and brakes, and lowereed acceleration and braking performance.. So we are definitely not talking about a performance upgrade here.Dark Anghell wrote:The tires are Falken 452's 235/35 up front ad 265/30 for the rear.
He's some how confused the offset with the diameter.Falkdesigns wrote:WTF are you talking about Brian? Where, oh where, does it say he's got 22" wheels? They're 19's.
LOL@ Falks comments.... he must be thinking of the anchors on my F50. Good one!!!Falkdesigns wrote:WTF are you talking about Brian? Where, oh where, does it say he's got 22" wheels? They're 19's.
Since when are Q45 considered to be "performance" oriented cars? These are luxury automobiles designed to get you from A to B in comfort. They are not meant to be race cars, and no matter what you do to it, it's still a luxury sedan. Like others have mentioned +22 stands for offset (in this case it's positive). The pic below shows different offset options. "+" and "-" stand for positive and negative offset...maxnix wrote:Well, the 245/30-22 are only a 92 load rating, (no listing for 235/35-22 on Falken website), a full 2 points under the OEM minimum load rating specification. Can you post/link a hi res version of the 4th pic? I need a new background on my PC...
They are a little harsh on bumby roads i.e. I can feel every bump. But at high speeds the car is very stable, and the cornering is awesome. As soon as I get the allignment done (next week) it will be even better.cullenj76 wrote:How's the ride on the JICs?
Up front the JICs came with camber plates. I have them set at +3*, and after measuring the actual camber, the front is set at 1.8* (not too bad), and the rear is set at 2.8~2.9*. For the rear there is an eccentric bolt you can turn to adjust the camber. It is located on the upper control arm.BadQ45t wrote:how did you fix the neg camber problem?
Have you seen the O.Z. Racing Superleggra III's with the huge lip (19x9 +27, 19x11 +40) on ebay?Falkdesigns wrote:Simply beautiful. I can't wait to get my next set of wheels.
