The wheels are 19x9 +22 and 19x10 +22 Work DHs. So far I have done the rear fenders, so enjoy the pics. Still waiting on the tires.

Looking good so far. I see you went ahead and rolled the fenders now, smart man. What tires do you plan on getting?

The tires are Falken 452's 235/35 up front ad 265/30 for the rear. One thing that may cause problems is the tub inside the fender. It curves toward the outside, so if I try lowering the car some more, the tire will rub. So I will try to figure out a way to give me more clearance there as well, because I want the tire to be tucking under the fender (not all the way, but at least 1/2")

You won't need to roll the fronts at all most likely, but they should be almost perfect fit, although rolling the fronts has to be much easier than the rears. My wheels are 19x8 +20 front and 19x9.5 +20 rear. I had to roll the rears and with 275's there's no rub ever, not fully loaded with passengers, nothing. Fronts need 1/2" spacers on mine.

It's gonna be nice man, I wish you'd picked something a little more original than DH's though. It will still look super sharp, it's just been done so many times already. What did you pay for the wheels? New or used?

Yeah the wheels are a bit plaid out, but I like how they look on my car, it was either these or MAE wheels. These are used, and I got them for 1900 shipped. Not a bad deal for wheels with no scratches or dings.

Well, the 245/30-22 are only a 92 load rating, (no listing for 235/35-22 on Falken website), a full 2 points under the OEM minimum load rating specification. Also, the ~27.7" diameter is significantly greater than OEM designed 26". Best not to talk about the increased unsprung mass and accelerated wear of suspension components and brakes, and lowereed acceleration and braking performance.. So we are definitely not talking about a performance upgrade here.

WTF are you talking about Brian? Where, oh where, does it say he's got 22" wheels? They're 19's.

He's some how confused the offset with the diameter.

Since when are Q45 considered to be "performance" oriented cars? These are luxury automobiles designed to get you from A to B in comfort. They are not meant to be race cars, and no matter what you do to it, it's still a luxury sedan. Like others have mentioned +22 stands for offset (in this case it's positive). The pic below shows different offset options. "+" and "-" stand for positive and negative offset...

Well, technically, the Q was always marketed as a "performance luxury sedan", sooo.... but I do know what you mean.

What I meant was that you can't really turn this thing into a track car and do circuit racing on it.

Hey this is totally off topic, but it looks like you cleared out your tails...I tried searching for a writeup on that, but no luck. Do you have any pointers on how to remove that yellow film? Thanks.

I hear you on the whole performance thing. I didn't do anything to my tails, they're just stock like that on 97-98's. Is yours a 99+? Can't recall, but you could definitely just swap in the 97-98 outer part if that's the case.

Someone in Hawaii cleared out theirs...so I may give it a go next week since I'm in the mood to change things on my car right now.

OK, the tires are on, car is dropped some more...and here are some pics I was able to snap.

Thats all for now. More will come in a few weeks.

yes, I am usng JIC FLT-A1s.

I am happy that I have enough clearance in the rear to fix my negative camber problem...I don't want to go through tires every 6 months.

They are a little harsh on bumby roads i.e. I can feel every bump. But at high speeds the car is very stable, and the cornering is awesome. As soon as I get the allignment done (next week) it will be even better.
BadQ45t wrote:how did you fix the neg camber problem?
Up front the JICs came with camber plates. I have them set at +3*, and after measuring the actual camber, the front is set at 1.8* (not too bad), and the rear is set at 2.8~2.9*. For the rear there is an eccentric bolt you can turn to adjust the camber. It is located on the upper control arm.

After a number of poeple telling me the front of the car is too high I dropped it another 1/2"...fixed the rear camber a little (one side was 5* and the other was only 2.7*...don't know how that happened). Anyway here we go:http://img74.imageshack.us/img...3.jpgh ... im...3.jpg

Have you seen the O.Z. Racing Superleggra III's with the huge lip (19x9 +27, 19x11 +40) on ebay?
