So I Picked up a CA with a SR20 Turbo but the Turbo does not line up to the manifold (The housing hits the manifold). As I sit now I'm guessing I have to clock the turbo but the last bolt under the oil line is virtually impossible to get (And already slightly rounded).

Is it natural that this doesn't quite line up? Suggestions for clocking it? I guess I'll have to go ask a shop tomorrow if they feel like grinding one of my wrenches down...

Cant you just clock the compressor housing instead of the turbine housing? I think its just a snap ring on the compressor housing.

Yeah the compressor housing needs to be clocked to fit properly. Pull the turbo off so you can place it in a vise, and then squeeze the big snap ring with some snap ring pliars, and while the snap ring is squeezed in, have a friend clock the compressor housing

I'll have to try that then... Doubt my snap ring pliers are going to work though..I'll take it down to my friends shop tonight and see if he has some.

I actually used super large 90 degree needle nose pliars. Worked better than snap ring pliars actually

That's what I was thinking I don't have a vice here anyways so maybe I can get it clocked there, plenty of hands before the local car meet.

when re-clocking the turbo, is there anything to look out for like how much to turn? or just keep turning it until it fits?
