I haven't fished for years. We had ponds on a couple of the properties over the years, and I like fishing when they were biting .

I have a few guys at work that fish ALOT and they've gone on and on about the durability of Ugly Sticks everytime we talk about fishing. I can ask if you have some specific questions. I know they have different poles for bank versus boat and the type/weight of the fish they expect to catch. Just let me know.

i just need to know if 6" pole is good long enough? Its a freshwater lake and lots of rocks in it. Also he does a lot of near shore/river fishing. Though he has a fly fish for the rivers.

Try cabelas or bass pro shops. Im sure they have websites. I personally use an Ugly Stick from shakespear, I think they are the best pole for the money.
