Well i've had my M for 5 days and being that she was pre-owned, there were a few things I wanted to have checked out.

Before I continue I will say this, I love this car. I couldn't find one outfitted like it anywhere and giving it back isn't really an option. I was close to being in court with my last ride because of the way I dealt with a certain service department and I told myself that won't happen again.

Upon spending time with this car, i found the following :Drivers side fender marker light needed replacement.Drivers side driving light needed replacement.Drivers seat loose. (moving when hard acceleration and braking)Weird odor coming from vents.Climate control blowing hot air on any temperature above 61 degrees.

I called today to be told that they've fixed everything except that they were having trouble with the climate control system.

So far I'm happy because I'm driving around in a G35x with less than 10,000 miles and I actually enjoy whipping it around. Definitely can't drive the M like that and I find myself revisiting the Maxima I just got rid of except with a bit more power and rear wheel drive. The service department seems somewhat responsive to my needs and I feel happy 'right now'.

What is you guys experience with Infiniti service overall. I'm a little skeptical from past experience but I'm hoping that will change.

Did I say that I love this car?

I'll think you find the stories to be same as with any dealer or make. Some hate it & some have had no probs. I'm 50/50. I have 2 Infinitis. Live in a smaller city with only one dealer in town. I think that causes my dealer service dept to be asses sometimes. However, I find that to be more of dealer issue than an manufacturer issue.

The odor is probably coming from an old cabin filter. I'm surprised the dealer said they would odd that at no charge as usually it is a billable item. If they do want to charge...don't pay it. I think they want $180 for that service. Buy the 30 dollar filter & spend 15 mins and do it yourself.

Driver's seat sliding is definite TSB. I had mine fixed. I'd bounce over and check out all the TSBs in case there are other issues with it.

Good luck & enjoy

Hey Jankenpo,

Thanks for your input. I don't plan on paying for anything as I bought the car 5 days ago and I feel they should be responsible for whatever needs to be fixed. They shouldn't sell me a car that has a urine smell coming out of it and broken lights.

Again, I'm trying to be positive about this entire experience and hopefully, when I go to pick up the vehicle the repair bill should say $0. If not you can rest assured i'll be raising all hell. I'm quite good at that.

I will keep you updated

O, well when you said pre-owned...didn't know if you bought through private sell or dealer. I thought you bought private sell and was just taking it to the dealer to get stuff fixed like I did. So if you bought from dealer 5 days ago...then yeah, they should (or need) to get you straight.

the interesting smell can happen because the automatic climate control stays closed when you turn the car off, it then warms the "stank"air, then blows it out when you start the car. There is some sort of cleaner I have read about on here before that can clear that up apparently. Mine just sort of worked itself out.

"They shouldn't sell me a car that has a urine smell coming out of it and broken lights." Why not it happen a thousand times per day. The buyer is supposed to check things before they SIGN and agree that the vehicle is satisfacory!

AS IS is as is even with a Nissan warranty, unless you pay extra for a certified.Good luck and don't make them mad, as it is their perfect right to tell you to not come back EVER.

Pretty difficult to win in court on a used AS IS vehicle.

Greetings Q45tech,I respect what you are saying 100% but in this state, I have the right to return the vehicle within 3 business days and a reputable dealer would never risk the client relationship with something as simple as this.

I don't intend to make them mad as you must understand that my experience with dealership service departments is that they are incompetent and they don't help the customer. You can ask the last dealer service that took my car in 4x for suspension replacement and 16x in total over 3 years for various other issues.

Now if you're telling me that i need to kiss the dealers rear and not expect to be treated like a customer, i would ask you to reconsider. Also, what dealership do you know of that would tell me to not come back Ever? I would like to know so that I stay away from it.
