Ok welcome to nico. Our moderator live in Canada and he's got coupe. using it all year around. If you have lots of rain and snow you would be better with the awd, coupe doesn't come in AWD too bad. That's the reason why I drive the sedan with AWD. However with carefull driving you can survive. It depends if you want to do that. The 35k price I think too much. you can get the new model(08) for that much. How you seen the new g37 price and the car? If the money(2-3k different) is not a factor in your decision take a look at the 08 g37.

you can read more about it.

If you are sure you want to buy a g35 coupe 07 or 06 than go for it. It is up to your taste which one you like better old or new style. I love the new style and would be pissed if I bought a car and couple of weeks later I seen the new style.

Welcome to Nico!

Most coupe owners put on winter tires for the months with white stuff. The G will not be nice to drive in without 'em. If you get the G35x, I believe they are all-season tires...you should be fine with those.

If this is going to be your only car then..

and I cant believe that I'm actually going to say this but...

You should also consider the new Altima Coupe - it is front wheel drive which will be better in inclement weather. Should be significantly cheaper, but harder to find since they just came out. If you find one it will be hard to deal on it because it is in so high a demand.

NOOOOOOO

That won't be the same. Why not the sedan with AWD. Fast, stylish, AWD, SEXYYYYY. Comes with all season tires just have to

Welcome to NICO!!

If you go for the Coupe (forget the Altima) directed to Cali...j/j

I suggest purchasing Blizzaks... because you will have NO CHOICE but to buy winter tires...trust me

ALWAYS keep the VDC on when driving in the winter (you will know what VDC button is if you purchase the car)

Does it handle like a dream in the snow? No. Remember this is a rear wheel drive car with some decent torque. Always keep that in mind.

I love my Coupe personally. Over the Sedan (just my preference) both are BEAUTIFUL cars either way. the Sedan (especially the G35x) will handle much better in the snow then the Coupe.

So weigh out the pros and cons. Then it's up to you and what you want. I drive my Coupe all year round (had an 05 too) and as long as I respect the car and put Blizzaks on, I never had a problem!

Let us know what you decide and good luck!

Price is definitely a little high by Florida standards (don't know if there should be a price difference there). Either way, coupe is much more sporty, but won't perform as well in the snow. AWD is helpful, but the traction control system is the best I've ever seen in a car, and probably will ever see. My advice, stick with coupe, get a better price, and just be careful on the roads. Coupe will most likely come with sport tires, just swap them for a more generic tire (like what comes on the sedans), and it'll be fine.

I would get the sport. Unless you really need/want NAVI, save your cash there. I've only needed it 5-6 times in the 15months that I've owned my car...a map will do just fine.

Id wait for the g37 if you're going to spend that much on an 06-07. Otherwise Id go for a used 03-05 with low miles.

1+ to mr tots

You'll regret it in couple of years. I think the value of the g37 in 2 years would be better than the 06-07's value. The diff. right now for you is 2-3k. My .02 anyway.

I FINALLY drove an 07 sedan tonight. It was a G35X.I suggest you go drive an 05/06 G35X and then an 07 G35X.Big difference in the way they feel. I was very surprised to find that I prefer the feel of my 05. As far as coupes go, yeah you can wait for a G37, but there will be a HUGE difference in price between the G35 coupes and the G37.Also, be careful!!! The folks on this forum love to get you in BIG debt by spending your money!!!

No better time than now to by a G35 coupe. I just bought an '06 G35 coupe 6mt w/12000 miles, and I paid 31,000. The market that you are in is flooded w/Infiniti products, so don't let them strong-arm you! Salesmen in general are very disrespectful towards women when it comes to buying a car like this...It pisses me off! If you must, slip your mechanic 50 dollars to come w/you when you look at the car. They will know that you mean business, and he will be able to point out any flaws that you could use to negotiate the price down.Definitely buy a set of wheels w/Blizzaks. This car has way too much torque to chance driving in winter weather w/o them.I wish you the best of luck! I absolutely love my new G!

Not to be a downer but I wouldn't want to rely on my coupe in the winter. Between the torque/power, RWD, and low clearance it would be terrible in SE Penna where I live.

It depends how much you depend on your car. I have a family, rental properties, live in a hilly area. I need to be able to go out on snow covered hilly roads whenever called. Therefore, my Ford Explorer will be my main winter car.

If you don't have to be somewhere regardless of conditions, you might get along with a set of winter wheels and 4 snows. I got an inexpensive set of aluminum wheels and Khumo snow tires for my daughter's Acura CLS and it worked pretty well. Get the smaller sizing for your car for snows.

I didn't think there was any major differences between the 06 and 07 that would justify spending thousands more....

Yeah if you can save tons of money go for thhe 06. But be aware we are really dangerous here. Once you buy the car you going to put mods in it. I know I know you say you won't. How many of us said that include myself(this will be my first car I won't touch, blablablabla). Guess what I could not hold it

It is a good time to buy a 07 g35 coupe. You can get a great deal. I just bought one with $4,500 off MRSP!!! a great car too! It's really fun driving. highly recommended. I don't like the new design anyway.

OMG get the sport package! The 19's are the best looking wheel out there and when you want to hit the twisties, you will be pleased.Seriously, I wouldn't get navi (unless you are a sales rep with a huge territory). Plus, w/o navi you get a nice pocket in the center console for storing things (like your Treo, cell phone, or even purse if its small enough). The center console has almost no room for anything larger than a cell phone charger or Ipod.

used or new? New not a dollar below 34,500, however, used probably 30-32K is reasonable. Don't forget that the sport package and sunroof add close to 3K to the price, so if you go for them, the price will reflect it. Check out Kelly Blue Book.com. They will factor in market area to reflect the price that they have been selling for.

The dealership gave me a 06 G35X sedan loaner when I took my 07 G35 sedan in for service it was a completely different car that I did not enjoy driving at all.

I agree with gwoods. The G35X sucks. Get the 6 speed manual w/o nav. You can get the nav aftermarket & save $$$. When the weather is bad try to work from home.December is the best month to purchase with Xmas eve & New Years Eve the two best days. I paid $35k for mine out the door incl tax Prem pkg A Sirius Radio 4 year NJ registration. If you want to come pick me up to go with you I'll either get you a good price or they'll throw us both out of the showroom

That sounds like a good deal to me!

I just helped my mom buy a new 2007 Toyota Camry XLE with a window sticker of $31204, I got them to give her the car for $24,800. Invoice was $28800! Toyota gave $1000 rebate.

Don't get attached to one car. Pick a price you want to pay and stick to it. If you have to walk away walk away 9 times out of 10 the dealership will call you back in a couple days and try to get the sale at the price you were willing to pay. If there are new 07's at your dealership they need to move those cars before January or the dealership will have to buy them and move them to the used car lot or make them loaners.

I bought my 2004 Dodge Ram new for $21500 out the door it had a window sticker of $32000.

I bought my 07 Sequoia for $36,800 it had a window sticker of $44,300 back in November of 06.

I bought my 07 G35 for $32000 out the door it had a sticker of $36000.

The way I start to buy a car is by emailing all the dealerships fleet department and playing them against each other. Look at cars you don't want to buy that are comparible. Like when we bought the Sequoia we looked at Acura MDX's and kept getting Acura and Toyota to come down in price to beat each other.

If you get an Infiniti.... YOU MUST GET THE SPORT!...

Spend the money.... It is well worth it.

I have the Sedan with the 6Speed and I love it. (came with the sport package.)

Also get at least the Premium Pack A It adds some Must haves.

I don't think you said if you wanted a manual or an auto...If you like the manual, Drive a Sedan with the Manual... the 07's sedans with manual will be the best sale priced becasue of the small market for manual sedans... You will get the best deal on the 07 Manual Sedan...

Good luck

Lets us know what you buy and put some pics up on the web site...

I live in fla so i have no idea about Snow... Only seen it once in my life

I think you are the first woman in the G35 Forum that i have spoken with..and that is good for you!
