Hello all this is my first time posting. I recently just bought a 1990 240sx. It was about a month ago. Anywho I have big plans for the car and thought that this would be a great place to ask questions and get oppinions and so forth. I originaly started out with a 1990 300zx NA, but that car is just a money pit and cant really drift so now it just sits in the driveway. So anyhow hello to you all again and wish me luck in my 240sx project.

Check the timing chain. If it rattles replace it, or at least the guides. Very important. Just lost an engine cause I procrastinated and was lazy. :( My last 240 was a 90 and the timing chain guide broke on the bottom half. Was quite strange nver really seen one do that. Welcome indeed.

The 300 was given to me by my father and is in his name so I cant sell it. Also when I bought my 240 my father seemed to take it as an insult to him so yeah the 300 just sits now. As for 300 drifting it just seems that the car wants to do a 360 whenever I try to drift it. Its not me im not a bad driver cuz I can drift the 240 like a champ with no problems. It just seems that the 300 is better at handling than drifting. I know about the timing chain rattle and my car does do that but I have already bought a new guide and chain along with 250 dollars of parts (water pump, oil pump, gaskets, seals, etc....) I also purchased the nismo high performance cam which will make its way into the engine sometime into the future. Thanks for the input and hellos.
