so the 15 or so empty bottles of N20 in the garage have had my brain in a twist lately. First let me say I have no interest in spraying the engine..... however, I have taken a shine to the idea of spraying the IC for extra cooling.

the concept is simple cooler air is denser..... denser= more air compacted into a smaller space for increased gains.

what I want to know is. when spraying the IC what are the chances or adverse effects when talking about a/f. I know I need a block off for the filter from spray so that it doesnt accidently induct any spray.....

I assume a kit like this (minus the bottle)http://redhat3.admarkonline.co...p=305

is enough........ less im wrong

what other tuning upgrades might I need.

lastly. is it worth it . I know guys used to use fire extingueshers(sp?) before runs with their DSMs to cool the IC charge as much as possible.

Depends on your maps. Even with a frontmount with stock fuel maps my car ran in the 10:1 range at around .6bar on the T25. Stock fuel maps are hella conservative so I wouldn't be too worried. I doubt a cooling spray through the core is gonna lean you out 2 points.

just use water, not as cold but a lot simpler. I used to spray freon on my intercooler. The guys at the HKS drags were desperately trying to figure out what that evil fog was coming from the nose of my car while I staged.

Just make some bracket to hold some Dry Ice with a nice office fan should work perfectly.

I agree just use water, i always thought of somehow rigging up my windsheild washer tank/pump to a sprayer (like to ones on your hood). Mount them on my bumper in the air opening so they are spraying right on the intercooler when i switch on my washer fluid inside the car via the steering wheel controls.
