Hello group, I am from Ontario, Canada. I wanted to start with a big hello to all and thanks for having this site !

My first thing is to say I have a 2006 G35, the vehicle is having issues with stalling on idle or even while driving the gas pedal will no longer respond how ever will keep the engine running until at a stop. The dealership could not find the problem and no response from computer when plugged in. The problem stopped and they then released it hoping it was solved. It wasn't, still stalled and still stops during drive. I then tried to give it a look underneath after reviewing a few G35 posts and concentrated on the Mass air flow sensor. Took it out and it looked ok, no dirt or anything extremely obvious. I reassembled and started the car, as I am explaining to a friend the problem, I point and put my finger on the MAF sensor plug and it stalled the engine. We confirmed by simply moving the cable with very little effort that the connector for the MAF sensor is stalling the vehicle.

Can anyone confirm or add opinion to this problem ? Am I changing the sensor, or the cable ? or none of the above ?

Thanks for reading and I apologize for the length of this story, my vehicle has been undriveable for 4 weeks now.

I'm surprised your car is not throwing a code. I'd be tempted to take it back to the dealer even though it can be a frustrating experience working with them. As an alternative experiment, can you zip tie the MAF and sensor wiring to keep them tightly together to see if that resolves the issue? Also, I discovered a blue-tooth OBD II device that can be ordered from Amazon for about $25. You can download a smartphone app called Torque (lite) for free or Torque Pro for $5 and run the car taking read outs in real-time.
