first time owner questions.

So this my first jump into a Nissan product and have some questions. I have an 06 qx56.

I've looked everywhere for a new dash kit for my truck, I attempted to install an aux-in box from amazon and the silver/aluminum dash that surrounds the navigation and holds the vents disintegrated in my hands, I've looked on ebay and amazon and all I can find are trim kits that add faux wood or fake cf.

I purchased some h3 led fog lights to replace the dim yellow factory incandescents, the issue with led's are that they are directional and the reflector plate within the housing blocks almost all the light. I wanted to bake the housing in my oven @ 190f for about 20 mins to soften the surround and glue to possibly pry apart the lens so that I can remove the reflector plate and make use of my h3 led lights. Has anyone done this and will it affect anything else within the housing?

Sorry for the noob questions and I appreciate the help, from what I've seen so far this is a pretty good bunch of Nissan enthusiasts. Glad to be a part of the community.
