Hello

I decided to pull my motor and I'm having some question that I would like to ask. This is my first time pulling any engine out so please bear with me if it a "dumb" question.
I took out the radiator, unplugged every cord and hoses so far. The only thing I need to get to are the motor mounts, alternator, AC condenser (The medium size block at the bottom right? There is a hard hose connected to this. from the right that runs to the left, how should I go with this?), and the transmission bolts.

1. I'm only trying to take out the engine only, will I still have to drain the transmission fluid?
2. Are the 10-12 Transmission bolt the only bolts holding on to the transmission to the engine? If so, once I take them out, do I just pull the engine to the front and pull it up with the hoist?

Thank you

Alt can stay, need to undo the connectors for the trans harness, (3 above the trans, starter signal, alt connections).
Power steering pump can be unbolted from block with the system still sealed; same with the AC compressor and system.
Don't forget about the exhaust system ,starter and clutch slave cylinder also needs to come off.

Trans needs to be pulled back once all 10 bolts are removed and the rear trans mount are removed and connectors disconnected.

Hello, thanks for the answer. As for the Transmission, what do people use to pull it back with because I don't have a transmission jack.

I use a floor jack with some straps. Place the pads under the drain plug for balance, an extra set of hands will help; although I was able to do if myself. Install in trans was a challenge.

Hi, apologies for a late question.

Will I need to drain my transmission fluid when pulling the transmission back?

Not required but I recommend getting a plug for the output, where the drive shaft slides in. fluid will flow out if the trans is tilted backwards. You need a plug for a approx 42.5 mm hole.

You're welcome, the second hardest part of a engine pull is done. IMO, installing the trans was the most difficult.
