I just bought my first Infinity ever (a 2002 I35) after driving a jeep wrangler for 10 years and man do I love it!

I do have a question though. When the car is in park or stopped there seems to be some vibration going on. I had the compression checked and all cylinders are firing between 179-182 PSI. I also fill the car with premium

The car has 45K miles so Im confused as to what the problem might be. The car is on warranty for 30 days so if anyone has any suggestions I want the dealership to fix it.

This might seem silly, but the right exhaust pipe has air pumping out, but the left is luke warm with nothing coming out of it. Is this concerning?

Also, does anyone reccomend an extended warranty? Ive been told by some people that the car is bulletproof and that I would just be wasting my money. Any feedback?

A carfax report showed the car as a lease, but is there anything I should be looking for to be problematic with the car. As a first time owner I would like to know what to be looking for.

Looking forward to be a new family member!!

Welcome to NICO!

The I35 is indeed a very reliable car. At the same time: with used cars it's hard to tell how well the car was treated by it's previous owner--especially with a former lease car. I'd probably be on the fence as well on the Extended Warranty subject. It would depend on price and coverage. Your I is still a pretty new car, and I don't expect anything very costly would go wrong until it's much older.

Regarding the vibration:Where are you feeling the vibration? Is it coming in through the pedals or steering wheel, or is it felt through the floor or through the seat?

By the way, Infiniti is spelled with an "i" at the end.

The vibration is coming through the steering wheel and on the floor of the car. Also you can feel it on the driver side door when the door is open and you have your hand on the door. I just had an alighment done as well, but i can still feel it.

The car drives like a gem except for the vibrating

as for the warranty the price ranges from 1000-1800 for 3/36K or 4/48K

Any suggestions on wha should be looked at while still on dealer warranty?

Welcome to Nico the best Nissan/Infiniti forum ever. The other day I did an oil change on a '05 I35, it was great. I'd rock one all day long.

My "Service Engine Soon" light has come on. My 2002 I35 has just crossed 45K miles . The service manual says to check the gas cap and it was fine. Just curious if anyone else has had this issue. My 1997 jeep wrangler was programed to automatically set off the service light at 50K as part of an emission control. Is this the case with the I35 or has anyone experienced a more sever problem.

I also noticed that on the two exhaust pipes only one seems to be releasing air while the other one is luke warm. Is this an indication of anything? Could this be setting off the service engine light?I would appreciate any feedback.I just bought my first Infinity ever (a 2002 I35) after driving a jeep wrangler for 10 years and man do I love it!
