I'm like days away from starting my sr for the first time and I'm kinda scare cuase usually all I read here is trouble when starting for the first time. I want to find out how many here SR's started the first time you turn the key, now I know you might needed some tuning for the sr to run right but if it started first time I want to know.

Just remember to disconnect the CAS, and let it crank for a few seconds to get the pump going and lubricate everything, also make sure the oil pressure light goes off before you try starting it.

disconnec the CAS, then crank for ~20 seconds. if the oil light doesn't go out, crank it again for ~20 seconds. continue doing this until the oil light goes out, then do it 1 more time just for the heck of it. mine took a good 2 minutes or so of this, so don't get discouraged. it's important to get plenty of oil into the valvetrain, turbo center section, etc. so you don't end up with a bum lifter or worse . . .
