Hi,

I'm new here and i am building a CA18DET for in most opinions the wrong car.

So i hope u will still give me advice.

I started out with an engine with 200.000 km.

I have a turbonoz stage 3 chip
Some gtir injectors 444cc
a Z32 maf
cometic 1.3mm steel headgasket
new acl bearings on the crank
new seals and gaskets all round

i still need a new turbo conrods and pistons.
I took apart the engine and i think to leave the head as it is.

Pistons and conrods will most likely be wiseco and pauter.

Going for 300 ish horses atm.

The turbo has got me stomped.

can someone point me to a site that explains the choices im about to make.
And what am i forgetting in my build ?

Well i hope to learn as i want to make it a good CA

Get a 2871r either housing that will get you there and spool semi quick or a s15 turbo but its rare to see 300wheel but still a fun street car. Look into those there should be more than enough info about them around.

Ok, the gt2860rs is what i was looking at.
This seemed to be similar to the s15 bb turbo

These should run up to 340 bhp an spool as fast as possible.

Another problem i found is i need an oilpan with the bulge on the rear of the engine.
Is there a ca oilpan i could find on a stock car ?

Also any model with a long suction tube would be nice.

I prefer a GT2854R for a small displacement motor like the CA... almost the same level of performance as the 2860, but faster spooling, thus better driveability... not as much high end power, but that can be offset with boost, cams, etc
