Well went to the track for the first time and made two runs, it was a lot more busy than we expected it to be. Saw one G Sedan there but mostly Mustangs.

Here are my times, my second run the clutch was not grasping and I glazed it pretty bad. The track was pretty sticky.

First RunR/T... .03060.... 2.165330.. 6.2771/8... 9.627MPH.. 74.071000. 12.4511/4... 14.829MPH.. 93.04

Second RunR/T... .11560.... 2.355330.. 7.5231/8... 11.073MPH.. 70.911000. 13.9961/4... 16.433MPH.. 92.75

Here is a video.

Whats the temp around there?

I'm trying to get to the track before it closes for winter. Don't know if I will.

The 1st run sounds closer to where it should be at. Maybe a little lower if everything went perfect.

It was really warm, about 72 or so, they are thinking about keeping the track open for another week but the cold is supposed to come back. I just wanted to get to the track before the year was out.

Yeah the Mustang has the SC. There was one mustang that sounded like a vaccum cleaner the SC was so loud.

Did you turn off the VDC? Even in the 80º range, you should be running 14.4 or faster. Might be time for a stiffer clutch.

It was the first time at the track. Lots of distractions. I know I diden't do my best times the first time I went. As long as he had fun.

That my friend, is exactly right!!!

I had fun running my Maxima when it would only pull a 15.4.

I have fun running my G at 14.4.

Heck, I had fun running a Ford Ranger truck with a 4 banger that was running in the 18's.

Not bad at all, on the first run, but I think you will have to look at getting a new clutch in for next year!

I ran 15.1 with 20" wheels on, first time at the track...

I ran 14.448 @ 98mph with 18"s my second time

I ran 14.54 @ 97 mph my third time (but engine was hot)

I ran 14.35 @ 99 mph last track day, had planned to test the SBD wires before the season was over but missed out this year

Hoping to have an electric fan, HFC's, and fujitsubo Y pipe, 17" lightweight wheels with street drag tires, SBD wires, and Nitrous for next year at the track, I'll get down around 13 flat with any luck...

Hey TurboDurbo,

What track did you run at? I'll figure your DA for you and correct your times. I'm betting you were running 14.5's and that you just have a 4000-5000 foot DA.

Your reaction time is awesome!!

Am I missing something here Jeff?

I thought a perfect reaction time is .500?!? What's the story on this?
