31 in a 20mph residential zone... this is my first citation in almost 6 years of driving. Uncle Sam gets another $50.

And the worst part is: I got it driving my girlfriends 4-door Cavalier. If it was -my- 240, well... it'd just be different :(

I feel so un-clean.

Uncle Sam doesn't see a dime of that money...the city does though.

How were you holding it in the road at the blistering speed of 31 mph. LOL

That sucks. I wouldn't tell anyone if I were you. To get a ticket for 31 in a 20.

Geez. 31. I'd be a little annoyed. Request a reduction.

I think this should have taught you a valuable lesson about speeding. How DARE you go 31 mph in a residential neighborhood? You could have killed someone at that heinous speed!!!!!!! Ok...end sarcasm: that sucks man, I'm with Jesda...ask for a reduction, thats just ridiculous. And dont feel too bad...at least you havent gotten 6 tickets and paid out over a thousand dollars in the last 4 years. oops.

31 mph in a cavalier? They go that fast? Perhaps it was downhill (just teasing). That sucks about the ticket. Sorry.

don't pay them god damn it! that will raise your insurance... Go to court and if that doesn't work, do something like defensive driving.

It is on a military post so, -supposedly-, it doesn't even make it on my record. As for court, well, that has costs all of it's own.

P.S. My girlfriend is getting all angered about the Cavalier jokes :-)

plead not guilty, when you go to court, be like "i'm sorry judge, i wasn't aware of how fast i was driving, i wear prescription spectacles and at the moment i was in the process of wiping some smudges off them so i was unable to see the speedometer to keep myself limited."
