Well...finally got the car outta the garage, with a few snags.

first night, driving the car home. boost was peaking at 5 psi, kinda had me worried..but seemed ok.....WRONG. Not sure of the reason, but my t28bb turbo cratered half way home. Whatever, made it home. By that time, the thing had siezed solid, no more spinny spinny.

picked up a sr20 t25 turbo, slapped it on there. Feels very strong now, 8 psi holds perfect. Havent taken it up to redline yet, not planning on it for awhile...but its very strong to 5500 rpm. Oil pressure stays at 20 psi idling, 75-80 psi cruising on teh hiway. All in all i think its quite a success.

we'll see how it does with 12 psi in a month or so. I'll keep you all posted.

Are you running the stock 370cc injectors on your sr20 t25?

Its the same turbo I just put on, I'm curious what PSI I'm looking at with those injectors.....

Also, did you put your locking washers back on the turbo? Mine broke, and I didn't..... I'm worried my turbo is going to fall off

All work was done myself besides machining

-block cleaned up, painted, bored 1mm over

- Forged pistons, total seal rings

- Head completely ripped apart, cleaned, checked, and reassembled, 4 thou taken off to make it flat

- Cometic 1.2mm head gasket

-Iridium sparkplugs

had a t28 ball bearing turbo......but it just ate itself.

all in all it runs really welll, when i get my new starter im gonna see what the compression numbers are like

check out my photobucket for a few random pics of it

wow. i had the same problem. my **** stayed tight for a couple of days. i ended up having one nut holding the turbo on. not fun. i got these nuts from advanced. they are the m10 1.25 grade 8 locking nuts and a $1 dollar tube of high temp. thread sealant. its held up so far crossing my fingers
