:wtf2: Okay guys. Need some advice. I recently acquired a 95 z32 na 2+2 and its not running. The guy I got it from says it's the hydraulic lifters but I asked him what happened he said he just got them cleaned and two days later it died on him and wont start back up. Its turning over just fine other then the occasional starter grind? It hardly fires. Personally I have a feeling it jumped timing but I was wondering if there's anything else I should look into possibly electrical

Check ecu for codes, cylinder leak down test and or compression test are the items that I would carry if I were to purchase a non running car.

Timing seemed like it was off. Reset it to make sure amd replaced some stuff in there. Ran the diagnostic and got code 34 and 13. 34 is for knock sensor and 13 is engine temperature sensor circuit. Would these two issues cause the car to not start

I have seen hot start issues related to a coolant temp sensor I guess it’s possible for cold start too. Easy enough to check, the sensor is the two prong unit right in front. Code 34 should not cause a no start issue.
