took out my 89 coupe for a spin , just around the block heres how it went. i had two mustang ricer friends over they said all they heard was tires squeeling. that was just a mild second gear punch ,it went sideways with open diff. it boosted really well but the first time i didnt watch the gauge and the next two times i punched it the intercooler pipping separated.now i just have to figure out a good way to keep my plumbing snug. it was running pretty rich so as soon as i get the piping all squared away i will tune it and see what it does. my setup: stock ka24egladman manifoldt3to4e38mm wgbig fmicdsm blue tops3 inch exhaust , turbo to bumpers-afc 2z32 massmaybe 10 psi , i got the wg from boostdesigns.com . still not sure on exact boost , only drove it for like 1 minute.

awesome! good to hear another SOHC-T is out tearing up the streets

did the injectors drop right in or did you have to modify anything on the fuel rail?

get bead welds around the ends of your intercooler piping (little humps all around the edge) and/or t-bolt clamps, will keep the piping from blowing off.

do you have a wideband on it?

just after i posted i laid a bead around my hotpipe which is steel on both ends. all my other tubing is aluminum but so far nothing has messed up. too bad i dont have an lsd in yet, all i am lacking is drivers side 94 j30 axle. my buddy said when i punched 3rd going slightly uphill it fried the rear tires, they are stock sized 15 inch steelies with bran new tires. i am feeling pretty good about this setup, more tuning tomarrow and i have a friend that offered to trailer it to the track since his drag car is down.

just had the car out again, still pooping cuplers off when it hits boost but not so bad. picking up t bolt clamps tomarrow, hopefully that fixxes it. this morning the car hit .......18 psi, stupid....... due to a nipple i used to run the wg vaccum it acted as a restricter , the car went very sqirly in a 3rd gear punch . the incredible richness saved it form destruction and egt reading was at only 1600. the car WAS very fast but i am not going to be a retard , it is now tuned on 11psi and still is very impressive. everything up untill mid 3rd gear is a waste at full throttle with the steelies, saving up for good tires to mount on teardrop wheels.

How did you wire your tach signal for the SAFC?

yes DSM 450cc are a direct swap, just use the top o-ring from the 240sx injectors and your set.

the car is now running 14 psi, did a little tune to be safe and egts stay below 1600 for the most part. it was kind of a waste taking it out tonight , no one really worth racing lol. tomarrow i am going to find a solution for the couplers popping off of my intercooler pipes, only pops off on the hot side.
