I did a SOHC AUTO to SR 5 speed swap with a battery relocation to the rear passenger side. When I connected the neg bat terminal, I heard something like a loud fan. I then found out that the starter was spinning freely but not engaging the flywheel.
The lower wiring harness is from the AUTO SOHC and I don't know if I'm connecting the right things to the starter. There is a top post, a lower post that directly connects to the solenoid (possibly B+) and the signal spade (S terminal). On the wiring harness there is 2 female connectors that will fit on the S terminal (one has a boot and one has nothing over it). I connected the B+ to the lower post that connects directly to the solenoid and the S terminal to the connector with nothing over it.
Other than all of this my swap is ready to be primed and on the road but until I figure this out tomorrow in class I'm dead in the water so I was just wondering if anyone could chime in to a fix before I tackle this tomorrow. THANKS!!
