Tonight was the ultimate in slickness, first the snow melted upon hitting the ground then at some point it froze over. Ice with snow piled on top. I think to myself, what a perfect time to drive my 240sx.

Control and driveability were exceptional during normal driving--at least compared to my friends integra. My stock 240sx has the best control of any RWD i've driven so far.

Then i get into a parkinglot and pretend its my own oval-track. A little into the turn i'd tap the gas just a little and the rear end would smoothly begin to slide into the turn. i practiced doing oval turns while sideways for a good 45 minutes before going home again.

The conditions were so slick that the amount of rear power needed was almost nothing, and over-drifting was very easy to do. The exact amount of throttle and perfectly timed countersteer were crucial. I love learning how to drift its the best! Just remember to do it in a completely safe place and you wont break/hurt/kill anything. With icey snow like this i could drift w/o going over 2500rpms with a stock KA24e, no wear no tear.

if your in a empty parking lot by yourself youprobably wont get much, its not technically public roads so i guess its sort of gray area.

plus if its slick, all you gotta say is you lost total traction and were trying to recover it, say you met someone there like a "Park & Ride" and then you were elaving and lost traction

could they give you a ticket?

also i remember my drivers ed teacher told us to go with our parents to a parking lot and if your car doesn't have ABS then just slam the brakes and see what happens, so i'll just use that excuse if i have to, lol

lol, i dont think that they can give you a ticket, especially if your story is a good one :) but most likely all tehy can do is give you a warning(at the most) and telly uo to get on your way to wherever your headed, but they cant just KICk you out fo a parking lot, unless your doing something illegal(i.e. racing, smoking herb etc. etc.) so you should be fine to go to a parking lot

Actually it was a church parkinglot, and yes people can get tickets (reckless driving) for "doing donuts" in the church parkinglots here. But i wasnt doing some adolescent donuts like people typically do. Just some nice smooth sideways turns. If i cop did come i'd just tell him im practicing winter driving or something like that.
