I just hit 3k and decided to call the local service dept to see if I was due for my first service. When I called they told me the first service was at 4k. I happen to be in the parts dept today and just out of curiousity I asked again and they said 10k although I should get the oil changed now? I looked in the book and it's a little confusing with different levels of service bla bla .... I'm just looking for an easy answer. Any help is appreciated also sythectic or regular

Definitely use synthetic oil...Royal Purple is what I recommend. Most of the initial service items are fluid checks. Just follow the schedule that applies to your driving style/type.

Can't go wrong with Joe's advice!!!
I use M1 Syn and change it between 3K and 3.5K in all of my cars (4).Have been thinking of switching to Royal Purple in the coupe.....but, not sure.
Well since your sayin that its ur first service...im going to assume you have a G37. First service and most of ur reg. oil changes are 3,500. Follow your maintenance schedule. Also, if you do have a G37...Infiniti will only use their "Esther" oil. Its expensive but the formulation on it is supposed to be very good. I use Mobil1 w/o any problems.
