I have a 2015 Q70L..
It's a lease car have 6k miles on it now, the screen shown time to do the oil change.
I called the dealer to schedule the service.
Is it the first oil change will be covered from Infiniti ?
After the first oil change, do I have to do oil change by the dealer? Is it allowed to do it outside?

Please give me some advice.
Thanks

As far as I know it won't be covered unless they told you it will be covered, or if you purchased a prepaid service package.

You are always allowed to get your oil changes anywhere you want, or do them yourself, as long as you get it done at the correct intervals and with correct parts. And by correct parts I do NOT mean only OEM parts are OK. Any brand-name oil and filter will meet all the requirements of the manufacturer. After that it becomes a brand preference and cost decision.

Just get them done on time and keep all your receipts and you will be fine. And if you do not plan on keeping the car after the lease I would not spend the extra money for synthetic oil. Conventional oil will work just fine.

Use synthetic if you're going to get rid of it after the lease so I can buy it with less wear ;-)

You should probably contact your dealer and ask. They may have a different answer then me.

I bring my own oil (because my dealer doesn't stock Mobil-1 5w30). The dealer supplies the filter, smash washer, and does the labor for about $30. With that, you get the dealer inspection, and the date / mileage is logged in the computer so there can be no question if maintenance was done on schedule. Owning an M or Q comes with the knowledge that maintenance is not cheap. I'm all for saving monies and doing some things on my own, but oil is the life blood and the inspection that comes with it is great proof that the car sees the dealer regularly. To me, it's well worth spending $50 twice a year.
To answer the original question, I'm sure some dealers cover the first change and others do not. It might be a service afforded to actual purchase and not included on a lease. Another way to see it is that you won't have any repair charges while leasing, so why not spend $50 at the dealer so that when your lease ends, you can point to regular dealer service and perhaps get a better discount on the next lease at trade-in.

I just went dealer to finish the service.
$69.99
with Mobile 1 and filter everything.
plus tires rotated, brake pads inspected. and car wash in and out with tires shine

actully, it's not expensive. if do it outside, I will figure the number as follow:

oil: $6x5=$30
filter :$10
car wash :$20
plus rotated tires and inspect brake pads, top all fluids,

it's the dealer service, $70 is cheap for all those. also my mechanic friends all telling me that the first service better get done in the dealer, so that there is at lease one record on file.
But, I will do all the maintenance service on my own after this time.
actully I owned more than 5 infiniti . it's not that much work to this brand.
